Mechatronics technicians assemble complex systems and ensure they offer excellent quality and can be installed and commissioned at the desired location. For this profession, you will need both expertise in metalworking and in the areas of electronics and electrical engineering. You will handle hydraulic, pneumatic and control technology, measurement and inspections, and programming machine and equipment controllers. You will also install electrical components and assemblies.
Mechatronics technician is a state recognized training profession requiring three and a half years of apprenticeship. In addition to your practical education in the company, you will attend the GHSE Vocational School in Emmendingen during your apprenticeship period.
Electrical technicians for operating systems install, maintain and repair electrical operating, production and process equipment, from switching and control systems to energy supply equipment and communication and lighting technology equipment. Electrical technicians for operating systems work anywhere production and operating systems are used or maintained.
Electrical technician for operating systems is a state recognized apprenticeship profession requiring three and a half years of apprenticeship. In addition to your practical education in the company, you will attend the Walther Rathenau Gewerbeschule Vocational School in Freiburg during your apprenticeship period.
Graduates in the mechanical engineering program at DHBW Lörrach will take on a wide variety of exciting challenges: Project management, planning, design, calculation, testing, production, customer advising or sales – a wide variety of fields and professional opportunities are open to you.
The DHBW study program focuses not only on basic engineering sciences, but also on business administration expertise and interpersonal skills (ability to work on a team, communication abilities, learning methodologies).
The automation program provides expertise in developing and project management for automated systems in a targeted manner. After the fourth theoretical phase, students will become familiar with current automation equipment, modern software technologies and pioneering bus systems, for example, through specific lectures in the automation field.
Implementing what you have learned in adapted laboratory exercises is a key part of the pedagogical concept. The engineering programme also includes interdisciplinary content like basic economic expertise and project management.
